Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Course (T3Pistol)
This 5-day, 40-hour Firearms Instructor Course is based off of our Train The Trainer Pistol (T3P) instructor course for law enforcement professionals who conduct, and support handgun training, consultation and certification. Unlike most other courses, this is not another shooting class for instructors but is a deep dive into brain-based learning for the adult learner.
Course content is derived from our experienced instructing cadres time with the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) High Threat Protection Division (HTPD) Special Activities Division and Department of State (DS) BFFOC Firearms Instructor Course.
The course will consist of classroom presentation, field operations, field operational planning, and scenario-based exercises. Students will gain the knowledge and skills to plan, organize, execute and conduct effective handgun training and certification.
This is a Law Enforcement regulated course, so attendees must have completed Law Enforcement Basic Instructor and be a certified peace officer. Must be able to pass a written exam, student led block of instruction, student led teach-back, student led shooter assessment, student led shot group assessment, creation and delivery of a dry fire and live fire block of instruction and numerous live fire demos, a mandatory pistol and shotgun qualification course with a 90% or better.
Failure to show proficiency will result in no certificate of completion being awarded.

- Pistol (Red dot system recommended, not required)
- Duty belt with holster designed for the duty weapon
- Weapon mounted light
- 3-4 pistol magazines
- 1000 rounds of ammo
- Shot timer
- Ballistic Eye Protection
- Ear Protection
- IFAK on your Person
- Clothing suited to for course and seasonally appropriate
- Rain gear / cold weather gear (seasonal)
- Drinks, fluids, electrolytes, snacks and lunch. Lunch will be taken onsite each day.
- Medium to large tipped black marker
- Note pad and pen
- Laptop
