Patrol Rifle Certification Course
This 3-day, 24-hour carbine and patrol rifle proficiency course will expose the student to the principles Our Patrol Rifle course is designed to familiarize officers with the nomenclature, function, operation of the semi-automatic carbine rifle. Students will learn and perform the principles of rifle marksmanship and operations of their duty-issued patrol rifle. Our course will build confidence through proper training, which includes lectures, dry fire drills and live fire drills consisting of:
- Conventional shooting positions
- Prone | Kneeling | Standing
- Unconventional shooting positions
- Urban Prone| Fetal Prone | Haji Prone | Double Kneeling
- Patrol car positional shooting
- Urban terrain shooting
- Predictive shooting skill: Doubles, Singles, Hammers
- Upon completion of this course, officers will have the knowledge and skills to deploy the duty-issued patrol rifle in a dedicated defensive marksman in support of patrol operations and active shooter response.
- Students are required to pass the Law Enforcement 50-round timed qualification with a minimum score of 90%.

- Duty rifle with a 50 yard zeroed optic
- Sling
- 3-4 magazines
- Weapon Mounted Light
- Red Dot
- 1000 rounds of FMJ training ammunition (No M855 armor piercing green tip ammo)
- Ballistic Eye Protection
- Ear Protection
- Chest Rig or Duty Belt with AR Magazine Pouches
- Batteries and back up batteries for all your equipment
- IFAK on your Person
- Clothing suited to strenuous activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
- Rain gear / cold weather gear (seasonal)
- Snacks, Energy Drinks, etc.
