Who You Are
Military, law enforcement, or vetted private security backgrounds are essential, however, they are not always a requirement. Basic functions and responsibilities of this role:
- Ensure the overall safety and security of employees, students and visitors.
- Monitor security systems and technology tools for various properties to include alarms, cameras, and badge readers.
- Access control for visitors, employees, and vendors.
- Effectively build relationships and communicate with key staff and employee stakeholders.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work irregular or extended hours (shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Partner with various intelligence and investigations teams, global security operations center assets, other private security firms, and local law enforcement to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
- Detect and report suspicious activity and security vulnerabilities.
- Be able to operate in a dynamic, multifaceted, and fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess an active Texas private security license(s), Level III & Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) license prior to employment or consideration.
- Complete physical readiness test prior to employment.
- Complete handgun proficiency test and demonstrate a minimum proficiency score of 90% or better on our timed 50 round qualification prior to employment.
- Verified prior military, law enforcement or executive protection experience providing physical security, emergency. response, surveillance detection, secure transportation.
- Prior training in diplomatic security, personal protective operations, executive protection, emergency response, residential security, etc.
- Professional and friendly communicator with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence (prior experience in customer service or hospitality industries).
- Submit Identigo fingerprinting to applicable private security governing authority
- Pass pre-employment FBI background investigation.
- Pass pre-employment psychological exam and provide assessment letter in application packet.
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Possess a valid and current driver license
- Submit your resume, DD214, Private Security License(s) and certificates of training
Benefits
- Position is 1099 employee contractor status
- 40 straight time hours weekly
- 3.5 -5 hours of overtime per pay period
- $25 / hour with potential for 4% annual increase
- Client furnished paid time off and holiday pay
