About the Event

Vehicle Defensive Day / Low Light Pistol is a phandgun course centered on defensive shooting skills se in and around vehicles transitioning from daylight operations into low-light conditions. The course begins with a classroom overview covering vehicle-based threats, ambient light considerations, optical nerve disruptions and how reduced light affects vision, accuracy, and decision-making under stress. Students will be introduced to weapon-mounted light concepts, including when and how each should be employed.

Range training will focus on pistol performance around vehicles, including movement, use of cover, reloads, malfunction clearing, and positional shooting. As light conditions diminish, students will apply handheld and weapon-mounted light techniques during live-fire drills and vehicle-based scenarios.

This course emphasizes safe weapon handling, effective light management, and accuracy under realistic conditions, pushing students to operate outside their comfort zone while maintaining performance standards.

All attendees need a:

• 3-4 magazines

• Appropriate clothing and headgear
