About the Event
This is an 8 hour block of carbine training focusing on safety, function of the semiautomatic carbine, the 7 Fundamentals of Marksmanship with individual shooter assessment and diagnostic review in the urban environment. Shooters will acquire the "urban 50 yard zero" on the weapon and learn necessary "hold overs" for all distances from the 7 yard line to the 200 yard line. Shooters will progress through an established training methodology which guides them through equipment setup, acquiring a proper grip, presenting the firearm to the threat and accurately engaging the threats in unconventional shooting positions.
Each student will need to bring:
- 300 rounds of 55 grain FMJ Full Metal Jacket (no armor piercing ammunition)
- Semi Automatic Carbine
- 3 magazines
- Magazine carrier, chest rig or belt rig
- SLING (is mandatory)
- Data on optics if applicable
- Back up batteries
- Quality eye with side shields and ear protection
- Water, electrolytes, snacks and a lunch
- Chair
- Dress appropriately, no shorts and bring sunblock
Participation in training requires exercises and tests of physical agility, physical excursion, rapid heart rate, unconventional shooting positions in which the attendee assumes full responsibility for his/her own safety and improper weapons handling skills.

Shooters will progress through an established training methodology which guides them through equipment setup, acquiring a proper grip, drawing, presenting the firearm to the threat and accurately engaging the threats.
